The Council on Industrial Relations (CIR) exists as a result of the mutual determination of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) to provide a forum for the peaceful resolution of labor disputes in the electrical contracting industry.
The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is the voice of the $130 billion industry responsible for bringing electrical power, lighting, and communications to buildings and communities across the United States.
The NJATC was created over 58 years ago and has developed into what perhaps is the largest apprenticeship and training program of its kind. Local programs affiliated with the NJATC have trained over 300,000 apprentices to journeyman status without cost to the taxpayers. This joint program between the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) has clearly demonstrated the most cost effective way to train qualified craft workers.
We are IBEW Florida, part of the 750,000 members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) who make Florida our home. We are men and women working in all branches of the electrical industry, working to ensure that Florida electrical workers enjoy a fair and decent standard of living with dignity and respect on the job.
